About

  • Son&Heir is a creative production company brimming with talented individuals hellbent on doing their part to better the world we live in. With a collaborative approach Son&Heir has expertise in any stage of production, from writing and creative development to execution through to delivery.

Leading the pack is creative Dilly Gent. Sometimes a producer, other times a creative director, and always a fixer, her M.O is best defined as that of a vision crafter.

Early on, Dilly gained a reputation for her remarkable ability to match the right people with the right project. She’s been the secret sauce behind many of them - steering artists in the right direction, and inspiring others to take up a path that rings more true. Artists, like Radiohead, have depended on her to craft their visual narrative. Working as their Creative Director for 17 years, she commissioned all of their music videos and photography, as well as their visual content.

From her TV show, “From the Basement,” to the 60 short films Dilly produced for Al Gore’s Live Earth, Dilly has had the good fortune to work alongside many passionate individuals who share her love for the planet.

Son&Heir is a deliberate move towards continuing that journey, creating content to encourage social change and working alongside brands and artists with a purpose to illustrate what they truly care about: the next generation.

  • Dilly specializes in conceptualizing, developing and producing original content, from environmental films, music videos, TV shows and visuals.

Dilly will work with her client to develop an artistic concept and then bring together the most talented creative team to realize their vision. With Dilly’s reputation for discovering new up-and-coming talent, as well as her ability to attract the most distinguished names in the industry, she is uniquely able to cater to each specific project’s requirements.

After launching her career in London as creative director and video commissioner at Parlophone Records, Dilly gained a reputation for seamlessly matching artists with directors and helping define the visual language of music videos.

Dilly spent 17 years as Radiohead’s Creative Director, earning a Grammy Nomination for the feature length documentary “Meeting People Is Easy” and numerous additional awards for the music videos.

Dilly’s love for the film side of music naturally moved into TV. Along with music producer Nigel Godrich, Dilly created and produced From The Basement a global music TV series featuring artists such as Thundercat, Jack White, Radiohead & Red Hot Chili Peppers amongst others.

Dilly’s other but equal love is educating people about the environment through short entertaining content.

Dilly created 61 short films for Al Gore’s Live Earth campaign featuring directors from all over the world. While working on the campaign, Dilly discovered her deep love and concern for the environment, pushing her to create projects designed to deliver a green message through music and film.

  • Micro is the new macro. As our world becomes infinitely small, our carefully created content determines how and what we perceive.

Micro Films are the shortest of shorts. Artistic in nature, vast in depth, and unapologetically beautiful.
